Village Design Statements
Village Design Statements (
VDS
) are produced by communities
to identify local character and set out design
guidance to help guide new development. The statements are
adopted as a material consideration in development management.
So far two areas in the borough have produced statements;
Emsworth and Northney and Tye, whilst a third is currently in
production for Langstone.
The Northney and Tye
VDS
was adopted on 27 February
