Village Design Statements
Village Design Statements (VDS) are produced by communities
to identify local character and set out design
guidance to help guide new development.
Village Design Statements are adopted as a material
consideration in Development Control.
So far in Havant borough two areas, Northney &Tye, and
Emsworth have produced Design Statements and a third is in
production for Langstone.
The Northney and Tye VDS was adopted on 27th February 2008.

The Emsworth Design Statement was adopted on 23rd July
2008.
