RingGo - Pay by phone to park in council car parks
A new cashless payment system goes live on Wednesday
13th August in council car parks across the Borough of
Havant allowing drivers to pay by mobile phone. In rolling out the

popular summer destination spot, Hayling Island.

Is a ticket required? How does the Civil Enforcement Officer
know I have paid for my parking?
No ticket is needed. The Civil Enforcement Officeer will
look up your vehicle registration number on their handheld.
This will check on the back office system to make sure you have
parked using RingGo.
How do I extend my parking time?
Simply call RingGo again and it will ask you:
- how long you want to extend for
- your card security code
Can I register without using my phone?
Yes you can register for RingGo online at www.ringgo.co.uk (link to
external web site) then once arriving at the car park you are then
asked for:
- the location code
- your length of stay
- your vehicle details
- your card security code
How secure are my details?
RingGo take security extremely seriously. Cobalt Telephone
Technologies, RingGo's parent company, holds Payment Card Industry
Data Security Standard compliance at level 1 - the highest level
attainable. For further details
please visit the Ringo website by clicking here >> (link

Is the system available to use before the charging periods
begin in the car parks?
Yes. If you are due to arrive at the car park before the
charging period begins you can still use the RingGo service to pay
for your parking.
Can I pay before arriving at the car park?
No. We could not guarantee that a parking space would
be available upon your arrival.
What happens if I receive a Penalty Charge Notice when I have
paid for my parking?
You should not receive a Penalty Charge Notice for failing to
purchase a pay and display ticket when using the RingGo
service. However, if for any reason this happens, we can
check that payment was made before the Penalty Charge Notice was
issued, when an appeal is received.
