News Release

17 July 2008

No disruption to refuse collections

Residents refuse (domestic waste) will be collected today (17 July) as normal.

However, residents who would usually have had their recycling collected yesterday, (16 July) and today (17 July) are reminded that it will be collected on their normal collection day in two weeks time. As this will then be a four week collection all recycling put out will be accepted.

Residents who use the council’s Garden, Clinical and Special waste collection services have been contacted directly to inform them of revised arrangements.

For other frontline services such as street cleansing and litter collection, priority will be given to shopping centres.
