The Walking to Health scheme in Havant is currently recruiting for new volunteer walk leaders.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get active, meet new friends and to give something back to your local community.
The Havant Walking to Health scheme is currently looking for new walk leaders in the Leigh Park, Wecock and Bedhampton areas. Full training is provided and ongoing support is offered by the local co-ordinator.
Becoming a volunteer walk leader requires no more than one hour per week and brings fantastic health and social benefits.

New Walking for Health Leaflets avalible
Walking for Health is for anyone wishing to gently increase their activity levels whilst discovering the local area.
Walking for Health provides people with the opportunity to take part in short, safe, sociable walks within local communities. And best of all its free! Each walk lasts about an hour and they take part within Havant and the surrounding areas including Hayling Island, Waterlooville and Bedhampton.
There are 12 walks that take place throughout the week within the Borough of Havant, these are;
Meet at 10am outside the Beachlands Tourist Information Office. On the last Thursday of the month meet at the Station Theatre, Hayling Island.
The Bedhampton walk has been relaunched on Monday mornings at 10.30am. This friendly and sociable group meets at the Bedhampton Arts Centre on Bedhampton Road.
All our walks are free so simply turn up, sign in and enjoy all the benefits that walking brings.
Walk More Feel the Difference
These walks are free, short led walks in Havant and Wecock ideal for people starting to get active. Being active for 30 minutes on 5 or more days of the week can make a big difference to your health and well-being.
We are currently looking for volunteers to lead walks in the following areas:
Wecock Short Walk
Starting at Acorn Community Centre, Eagle Avenue, Wecock.
Underfoot is mainly footpaths and parkland.
Every Tuesday afternoon at 2pm
Every Thursday morning at 10.30am
