Activity Map launched for Leigh Park
A map of Leigh Park detailing playschemes, workshops and various
activities that are on offer to children and young people is now
available.
Funded by Havant Borough Council, the Children & Young
People’s Activity Map will be distributed across Leigh Park giving
information on summer activities together with contact details of
clubs and associations that run all year round.
The maps will be available through schools as well as the
Community Centre, Library, Housing Offices and Children and
Families Centres in Leigh Park.
Rebecca Frost, Havant Borough Council’s Children and Young
People’s Officer said, “Play and outdoor activities are widely
recognised as important to children's physical and mental
well-being, and their educational and social development. This map
shows all the activities that are available to children and young
people in Leigh Park.”
