Fun and games for all
Staunton Country Park is set to be the place for free fun and
games for all the family on Wednesday 6 August.
Playday is the first of its kind to be organised in the borough
to encourage children, young people and communities to get out,
play and have fun.
As part of a national event, Playday will have workshops and
displays taking place in Leigh Park Gardens, Middle Park Way
between 12 noon and 4pm. Children and adults will have the
opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities and
games.

Staunton Live!
A series of free outdoor concerts will be held in the lovely
setting of Leigh Park Gardens at Staunton Country Park. Bring your
friends, family and a picnic and come and enjoy the music.

The country park is also planning to run an acoustic busking

Havant Literary Festival
The borough will be buzzing between 25 and 28 September when
Havant Literary Festival takes place throughout the Town Centre,
Leigh Park and Hayling Island.
The programme includes talks, signings, poetry, theatre,
workshops, walks, street events, word art, children's events,
exhibitions, short story and poetry competitions and a book
quiz.
Havant's literary heritage will be celebrated with talks on
Jeeves creator PG Wodehouse, A Town Like Alice author Nevil Shute
and the poet Keats, all of whom lived or wrote in the borough.
