Changes to Policy and Access by the Public

The TMA requires Havant Borough Council and the parking industry as a whole, to become more open and transparent to the public. This is to try and change the perception of the industry from one that is often seen as bad to what is really being achieved. Such as:

  • Improve the safety of pedestrians and road users by dealing with dangerous and indiscriminate parking.
  • Maintain and where possible improve traffic flows.
  • Improve the environment by encouraging responsible parking.
  • Address the needs of local residents, shops and businesses, including deliveries.
  • Address the particular needs of people with disabilities.
  • Improve the quality, reliability and accessibility of public transport.

Part of this is to make available the Councils policies on the enforcement and cancellations of the PCN . This is to be available on the website and in the Civic Offices for anyone to access and view.
