STRETCHED LIMOS, VINTAGE CARS AND CONTRACT WORK
Stretched limos and vintage/classic/niche vehicles* were
previously licensed by
VOSA
and contract
work over 7 days was exempt from licensing regulations.
However when Section 75 (1)(b) of the Local Government
(Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 governing the above
was repealed in January 2008, any drivers, operators and
vehicles providing any contract work, stretched limos or
vintage/classic/niche vehicles were required to
become licensed by Havant Borough Council. The only
exemptions continue to be vehicles used solely for weddings and
funerals.

*vintage/classic are vehicles over 30 years old and
niche vehicles incorporates fire engines, ambulances,
replica vintage vehicles and other like restricted design of
vehicle.
