1APP is here!
The National Standard Planning Application Form
Are you aware of the biggest change to the planning system in
decades?
1APP has changed the way you submit planning applications
to Havant Borough Council and every other authority
in England.
From 6th April 2008, the National Standard Planning
Application Form (1APP) has replaced all existing types of
planning application forms in England and is now the only
legal way of submitting a planning application. Whereas before,
Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) produced their own planning
application forms (which often differed and created
inconsistencies in the planning process) now 1APP has been
implemented all the differences in application forms has been
removed by ensuring the same information is required for
comparable applications by every LPA in England. This
standardisation has made the planning system clearer and more
efficient for planning professionals and the general public
alike.
The new 1APP forms can now be used for online
submission via the Planning Portal or on the new
1APP
paper forms (please note: we will still
accept the old non-1APP paper forms up until 6th April
2008).
You can learn more about the change to 1APP and how this could
affect you by
