What is Havant’s Citizens’
Panel?
Havant's Citizens' Panel is made up of around 1,500 members
of the public from across the borough who give their
views on local issues, helping us to improve our services.
Beginning in 1999, Panel members have answered questions on
a number of the council's services including the environment,
community safey, waste and recycling, street cleansing and
beach safety. Click here to go to the results of past Citizen
Panel consultations.
Each Panel member has agreed to fill in at least three
questionnaires a year. As well as filling in questionnaires,
Panel members are sometimes invited to take part in other
activities, like focus groups or special one-off consultations.
Who is on the Citizens' Panel?
The Panel includes people from all different backgrounds and
areas of the borough. Residents are randomly selected and
invited to join the Panel. The complete complete Panel is
designed to be representative of the borough as a
whole. In order to keep the Panel fresh, we invite more
residents o join the Panel every couple of years.
