The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment ( SHLAA ) is an important piece of evidence base which will inform the preparation of the Local Development Framework ( LDF ). The SHLAA does not determine whether a site should be allocated for housing development, this is the role of the Development Delivery (Allocations) DPD. A consultation on the Allocations DPD is programmed for Summer 2012.
Annual updates to the SHLAA will be required and this will normally be undertaken through the Annual Monitoring Report ( AMR ).
