The Horizon is now clear
Havant Borough Council and Horizon Leisure Trust are pleased to
announce that their new joint approach to Leisure Management has
been agreed.
Following the decision last year to put Horizon Leisure Trust on
a more sustainable basis, new leases have been agreed for Havant
Leisure Centre and Waterlooville Leisure Centre, together with a
Partnering Agreement which sets out the new working
arrangements.

Havant Borough Council will fund the basic maintenance of these
two large buildings with Horizon Leisure Trust, running them for
maximum public benefit. Now that the future of the Leisure Centres
is secure, it is good news for the community who can continue to
enjoy these quality facilities.
Both leisure centres provide swimming pools together with
fitness and health facilities. A crèche is also available. Havant
Leisure Centre boasts an indoor play centre, function suite, café,
bar, conference room and sports halls as well.
The health and fitness clubs within both centres have recently
undergone a £¼ million refurbishment by Horizon Leisure Trust and
now feature new, state-of-the-art cardiovascular (
CV
) equipment in addition to new flooring
and interior decoration.
The new machines are fully integrated with individual
TV
screens enabling the user to
personally select from a range of channels while exercising. Very
few other local clubs can boast this technology.
For more information about the health clubs or the range of
membership options available, contact Havant Leisure Centre on 023
