Your Community Centre
Continuing the series on community centres in Serving You, this
edition features:-
Bedhampton Social Hall
Bedhampton Road, Havant.

Opened in 2000, the centre is a pleasant, well equipped, modern
building managed by the Bedhampton Social Hall Association, a team
of volunteers who lease the building from Havant Borough
Council.
The main hall features a high quality sprung dance and sports
floor and is licensed to hold a maximum of 150 persons. It can seat
an audience of this capacity when laid out as an auditorium.
Popular with dance groups, styles of dancing include line
dancing, modern sequence dancing and country dancing. More modern
and energetic dance classes are also available for youngsters to
attend.
The premises are licensed for the sale of alcohol and a bar may
be set up in the well equipped kitchen if required.
The association, made up of volunteers, holds weekly Wednesday
coffee mornings and monthly tea dances. They also organise a number
of other events ranging from quizzes and games evenings to craft
fairs and parties. These social events are open to everyone, so why
not come along, have some fun and meet new friends.
The office is manned between 9:30am and noon and 5pm and 6pm on
weekdays. Anyone wishing to know more about the activities or to
make a booking can call 023 9248 0654 or email socialhall@btconnect.com
