Infrastructure
The Infrastructure background paper
provides the first stage in an iterative process of gathering
information. The next stage is to set out the specific
infrastructure projects which will be required as a result of
levels of housing and employment development across the borough on
brownfield and green field sites. It is essential that the
development of these sites is in step with investment in new
infrastructure. The Borough Council wants to foster closer
collaboration with infrastructure providers to ensure that new
development is catered for either by the more effective
use of of existing services or by new provision. It is essential
that development does not overload the infrastructure and
introduces new provision for the benefit of existing and new
residents.
This study provides information on existing and future infrastructure provision and seeks to co-ordinate the priorities of infrastructure providers and the requirements of the LDF.
