How to Apply for Housing and/or Council Tax Benefit

 

How do I claim?

 

You can request a claim form from the Benefits Section by phoning, writing or emailing the Council.

Jobcentre Plus

 

Alternatively if you are of working age and claiming Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance or Incapacity Benefit you should make your claim for Housing/Council Tax Benefit at the same time.  For more information about the benefits you can claim if you are of working age you can contact them on 0845 6088573 or look at the Jobcentre Plus web site.

 

Pension Service

 

If you are of retirement age, 60 years and above and are in the process of making a claim for Pension Credit you can make a claim for Housing/council Tax Benefit at the same time.
