Developers get a chance to explain

A pilot scheme aimed to encourage a wider awareness of development proposals is about to begin at Havant Borough Council.

Joint Committee

Development Consultation Forums will take place at the council offices giving developers a chance to explain their proposals directly to Councillors, stakeholders and members of the public before the planning application is submitted.

The process is designed to complement community participation arrangements in the planning process adopted by Havant Borough Council under the Havant Statement of Community Involvement. This allows developers to overcome any community issues that are raised prior to any formal application being presented.

Members of the public can attend the forums and listen to the debate with the option of filling out feedback forms with their individual comments at the end.
