New look for www.havant.gov.uk
Following much research we have discovered what visitors need
and want from our website. The feedback we received told us that
our old homepage was too busy, some information was out of date and
the menu listings very confusing.
So, our aim was to make the website more accessible to everyone,
with all the services the council provides being just three clicks
away from the front page. More colourful graphics have also been
added, together with the option for larger text sizes to be
viewed.
Job applications, planning applications, paying for Council Tax
and Penalty Charge Notices and finding out what events are happing
in the borough have all been made much more easier to do on
line.
Development of the site is continuous and we will always try to
respond to customers’ needs.
The website is the largest communications tool that the council
has with residents, customers and businesses and we aim to make it
as welcoming as possible to everyone. In June we received an
increase of people visiting our website with page view numbers
reaching over 136,000.
We hope this will continue to grow.
