Childcare
Leaving your children in the care
of others can be a daunting experience especially if you have just
had a baby or decided to return to employment or education as your
children are starting school. All parents will be more
confident leaving their children if they know they are going to be
in the best of care.
The government has made finding
childcare which suits individual famillies and their needs a little
easier. Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) registers and
inspects Nurseries, Childminders, Pre-schools, Out of School and
Holiday Clubs. They also inspect creches for children under the age
of 8 years old.
It is recommended that you visit
the provider of your chosen type of childcare. The provision should
have sufficient supervision at all times, the environment
should be relaxed and stimulating and children attending
should be happy. A visit will give you an insight to the day
to day running of the provision, how the children are being
cared for and how the carer communicates with the children in
their charge.
