Development Delivery (Allocations) Development Plan Document
The Development Delivery (Allocations) Plan Document
(
DPD)
will identify
sites for specific uses including, housing, employment, retail,
recreation and infrastructure up to 2029. Only development
which conforms to the strategic distribution strategy of the
Core
Strategy can be considered in the Allocations
DPD
.
A number of sites (those considered to be strategic) will not be
shown in the
DPD
as they will instead feature
in the Core
Strategy document. All other land allocations
will be identified in the Development Delivery
(Allocations)
DPD
.
All sites which are considered within the DPD will be subject to the
process of Sustainability Appraisal. This is an
iterative process which will test all the development options
throughout the process.
The current timetable for the Allocations DPD can be
viewed
here.
Speculative Planning
Proposals
In advance of an
Allocations Plan being adopted by the Council it is possible that
some developers or landowners may submit planning applications on
land outside of the urban area and/or not allocated for the use
suggested. Such speculative proposals are unlikely to be supported
by the Council. This is explained further
here (PDF Acrobat Reader required 16kb).
