Development Delivery (Allocations) Development Plan Document
The Development Delivery (Allocations) Plan Document
(
DPD)
will identify
sites for specific uses including, housing, employment, retail,
recreation and infrastructure over the next 20 years. Only
development which conforms to the strategic distribution strategy
of the Core Strategy can be considered in the
Allocations
DPD
.
A number of sites (those considered to be strategic) will not be
shown in the
DPD
as they will instead feature
in the Core
Strategy document. A public consultation was held on
the draft in June and July 2009 that featured the Strategic
Sites. All other land allocations will be
identified in the Development Delivery (Allocations)
DPD
.
All sites which are considered within the DPDs will be subject to the
process of Sustainability Appraisal. This is an
iterative process which will test all the development options
throughout the process.
The council held a consultation on the first stage of the
DPD (then
called the Allocations Plan) to seek your views on the Issues and
Options. The comments received will assist our further assessment
of the sites which will inform the draft document, which is will be
published for consultation in the autumn of 2010.
