Council Housing - Affordable Homes
|

|
Havant Borough Council does not have it's own stock
of Council Housing, or Social Housing as it is more commonly
referred.
The Council transferred its housing stock to a
local housing association in 1994. Since then, Havant
Borough Council has supported a development programme
which has produced over 1500 new housing association homes in
the last 15 years.
In April 2009 Havant Borough Council, East Hants District
Council, and Winchester City Council introduced a Choice Based
Letting Scheme for allocationg Social Housing. This is known as
Hampshire Home Choice.
