Hampshire County Council
Arts Council
Arts Council England is the national
development agency for the arts in England responsible for
distributing public money from Government and the National
Lottery. The South East regional office can provide local
information regarding projects, priorities, funding and

Hampshire Dance
Hampshire Dance is the regional dance development agency,
based at The Point in Eastleigh, which aims to promote the
experience and understanding of dance. They can have a broad
knowledge of dance in Hampshire, regionally and nationally.
Hampshire Dance have also established the Young Dancers
website which provides information about careers, funding and
training for young people.
CIBAS
(Creative Industries Business Advisory Service)
The University of Portsmouth deliver the
CIBAS
project for Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. The project helps
artists, designers, writers and performers to start-up or develop
their self-employment or creative businesses with tailored
one-to-one creative business advice, information and support.

Crafts Council
Artists Open Studios
The Artists Open Studios website provides up to date
information to visitors, journalists and artists exhibiting in Open
Studios across Hampshire. It is also a resource for artists,
offering guidance to individuals on taking part in established
events or setting up their own.
Open Studios Network
The Open Studios Network aims to promote and support open studio
events for visual artists by providing information about such
events throughout the UK on their website.

Musicians Union
Equity
A trade union representing performers and artists that aims to
protect the rights of actors, directors, choreographers, stage

Independent Theatre Council
The
ITC is the management
association and industry lead body for performing arts
organisations and individuals working in the field of drama, dance,
opera and music theatre, mime and physical theatre, circus,
puppetry, street arts and mixed media. Training is available to
both members and non-members.
Skillset
Skillset is a national training organisation for broadcast,
film, video and multimedia and can provide information and advice
regarding careers, funding and research.
UK Film Council
The UK Film Council is the Government-backed
strategic agency for film. It aims to stimulate a successful,
vibrant film industry and to promote the widest possible enjoyment
and understanding of cinema throughout the UK. They fund script
development, film production, short films and more.

British Film
Institute
The British Film Institute (BFI) plays a key
role in achieving the UK Film Council's goals and fostering public
appreciation of film through improved access to cinema, film
heritage and educational provision. The BFI runs a range of activities
and services for the film education sector and the National Film
and Television Archive, the biggest archive of film and television
material in the world.

Screen South
Screen South aims to provide the first port of
call for funding and information relating to film in the region.
Regular Information Days throughout the region offer an insight
into Screen South, RIFE Open Funding and other schemes and
initiatives, as well as a chance to take part in workshops and
one-to-one sessions with industry professionals.

City Eye
City Eye offers full production services
to community groups and production support to filmmakers, a
training and skills development programme and regular screenings
and events across Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

New Producers
Alliance
The NPA is the UK's national
membership and training organisation for emerging producers and
filmmakers. It provides a forum for over 1,000 members, ranging
from experienced feature film makers and industry affiliates to
students and first timers. Services include producer training from
entrance to advanced levels, seminars, master classes, networking,
preview screenings, advice services, and an online members
directory.
