SOOP

Revengers - SOOP

SOOP is Havant's very own professional theatre company, based at The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre. The company is dedicated to enhancing the cultural life of the local community through creating original, innovative theatre with a national profile and reputation for high quality. Crisp, stylised, vibrant and generous, our playing offers a highly theatrical, hugely satisfying event for audiences who love theatre in its purest, essential forms.

As well as producing distinctive, accessible performances, SOOP makes a direct contribution to the arts through engagement in community projects and education initiatives, working in schools and colleges, delivering workshops and larger scale programmes.

SOOP is particularly interested in providing opportunities for local creative people to gain real world experience of working in touring theatre.

For more information on our work, visit our website  http://www.soop.org.uk/ or contact Nathan Chapman by email at nathan@soop.org.uk

Station Theatre

When the Hayling Station Goods Shed came up for disposal in 1992 the Hayling Island Amateur Dramatics Society (HIADS) campaigned and fundraised to convert it to a 144 seat theatre.  The work was completed in 1997 and the theatre is leased to HIADS by Havant Borough Council at a peppercorn rent.
