Emsworth Mill Pond Opening Schedule
The Environment Agency endeavours to maintain
water levels in the Mill Pond high enough to cover the mudflats
around its edge. On a regular basis the Agency opens the control
structures to allow the water level to flush in and out, rising and
falling with the tide, and thus avoiding the water in the Pond
becoming brackish.
These scheduled events are subject to suitable
weather and tidal conditions. In the event of unfavourable
conditions the Pond may be opened or closed without prior
warning.
