Birth Registration

To register a birth, you should go to the office for the registration district where your child was born. If you are not sure where it is, call one of our offices for advice.
All Hampshire's register offices have an appointment system. You can make an appointment during opening hours.
It may be possible under certain circumstances, to re-register a birth, ie change the details or add to the information recorded at the time of the original registration.
Depending on exactly what the changes are, you will need to arrange either a correction, a change of baby's forename or a re-registration. You can find information about this on via the related birth information link below.
