As part of a national campaign Havant Borough Council is pushing
to raise awareness to the general public of all online services
currently available on the website.

The Internet is getting more and more popular,
as more households and businesses now have access to computers.
Here at the Borough Council, the use of technology to improve the
council’s services is ever-growing. Nation-wide, over two thirds of
homes are connected to the Internet and over 10 million of those
are high-speed broadband connections. This means that we can
provide many council services at the click of a mouse, at your
convenience, thus helping us to deliver the very best service to
our customers.
Havant Borough Council’s website is moving with
the times. We are going to concentrate future developments very
much with you, the user, in mind. Considering availability and
accessibility, we aim to make it more user-friendly and to
incorporate more on-line services.
www.havant.gov.uk is attracting
more and more visitors. With 210,000 hits in 2005 and a huge
150,000 within the first 6 months of 2006, the demand for online
services is certainly accelerating.
