Abnormal Loads
These are loads which require special attention or escort due to their size or weight
 
Animal Casualties on roads and beaches
Details of the service we provide if an injured or dead animal is reported to us either on the road or oon the beach or other open space.
 
Bridleways
Bridleways are rights of way which are available for use by horseriders. Mapping is available showing the extent of the bridleway network.
 
Dropped Crossings or Kerb Lowering (for vehicular access)
Details of the procedure to arrange for dropped kerbs or verge crossings to gain access to private parking areas (for instance if you are now using your front garden for parking). WARNING - accessing private parking areas without a verge crossing or dropped kerb is illegal, and from 1st October 2008 you will need planning permission to create certain types of private parking areas.

Highway Code
The most vulnerable road users are pedestrians, particularly children, older or disabled people, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders. It is important that all road users are aware of the Code and are considerate towards each other. This applies to pedestrians as much as to drivers and riders.

Highways in Hampshire
Hampshire County Council is the highways authority for the Borough area, looking after all but the major routes. This external link to the County Council's highways site gives you the opportunity to find out about how the network is managed and maintained, which parts are maintained at the public expense, and includes the opportunity to report highway and street lighting defects
 
Roadworks in Hampshire
This allows you to locate existing and impending road works and find comprehensive information regarding Hampshire’s road / footway maintenance and regulatory policies. The geographic element of the road works mapping (ELGIN system) is unlikely to be fully accessible to disabled users

The Highways Agency is responsible for the A27 south coast trunk road and the A3(M) motorway towards London
