What is an allotment?
An allotment is a plot of land let by the Council for
cultivation purposes.
How much does it cost to rent an allotment?
For April 2010 - April 2011 (1 year) the
cost is 30p per square
metre.
The average plot is 126m2, which
works out at a payment of £37.80. You can either
pay your total bill in full or break it down into quarterly
payments.
For the following year (April 2011 - April 2012) the cost will
be 31p per square metre.
Are there any discounts?
The Council does not offer discounted prices.
How can I make a payment for my allotment?
Once you have received your invoice, you can either send us a
cheque for the full amount (
payable to Havant Borough
Council), or visit the Civic Offices' Cashiers desk from
9am to 4.30 pm. If you would like to make your
payments quarterly, please contact

How do I find out if there are any available allotments?
We currently have waiting lists for all of our sites. If you
would like to be added to a list please write to:

e-mail with your name, address and contact telephone
number.
Please note that we currently do not accept applications from
people who live outside of the Borough, due to the long
waiting lists.
