Business Continuity Advice
The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 has placed a
new duty on local authorities to promote the adoption of good
Business Continuity practices in their business community.
Whether through natural or man-made events -
flooding, storms, fire, theft, terrorism - statistics indicate that
a large proportion of businesses thus affected either never re-open
for business, or suffer such losses to competitiors whilst they are
unable to operate that they collapse within a short time after the
event.
Business Continuity is all about making sure
that you have suitable plans in place so that if the
unthinkable happens you are able to respond in a planned way and
minimise the damage - both financial and reputational - to your
business, and to get you back on your feet as quickly as
possible.
Havant Borough Council is able to
offer advice to you about Business Continuity. A member of our
staff is available to offer help and guidance for you to draw up
your plans (although we won't actually draw up the plans for
you).
