Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005

 
Information is a valuable asset and the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005 follows an EU directive that enables individuals and companies to re-use information held in the public sector. To achieve this, the regulations have been written to highlight the potential market for information to public sectors.
 
The Regulations do not oblige public bodies to make their information available for re-use unless there is a statutory obligation to do so.  All rights to information held by the Borough Council is reserved until and unless consent is granted to re-use that information.

In some cases you will be requested to submit a licence for re-use and we will inform you of the licence conditions and whether there is a charge for the licence.
