3 Scope of Sustainability Appraisal to plans and
programmes
3.1 The stage of SA requires a review of the relevant
policies, plans, programmes, strategies and initiatives (PPPSI) to
ensure that the document is considered within the correct context.
The scope of the PPPSI relevant to the Leigh Park Strategic
Framework is wide ranging. The main national and regional level
documents are set out at Appendix 3.
3.2 A further analysis has been undertaken in relation to the
three major strategies that form the foundation of the Council’s
priorities. They are the Community Strategy produced by the Havant
Strategic Partnership and the Council’s own Regeneration and
Cultural strategies. The implications for the relevant parts of
these strategies for the Leigh Park Strategic Framework are set out
at Appendix 4.
