BIG Green Commuter Challenge  14 - 20 May 2012The Big Green Commuter Challenge 2012

Havant Borough Council sponsor the competition for businesses based in the borough (i.e. business addresses with a PO7 - PO11 postcode).

Local organisations compete to reduce miles travelled by driving alone. This cuts congestion and pollution, helps combat climate change and can bring benefits to organisations by increasing staff wellbeing and easing parking problems. Using alternatives for commuting and business journeys in a competitive environment helps support corporate social responsibility goals and raise the profile of your organisation.

The BIG Green Commuter Challenge is

  • A week-long event (14-20 May 2012)
  • A competition between local workplaces
  • An easy way to try different ways to get to work
  • An opportunity to join with other workplaces/organisations to reduce congestion and emissions
  • A chance to highlight the health, financial and environmental benefits to employees and organisations
