The Liveability funding will pay for a number of Welcome signs at various gateways to the Borough. These will be erected in the new year. 

 
This project is producing a strategy for signage and wayfinding within the Borough aimed at providing:
 
  • A clear identity for the Borough and its communities
  • A consistent approach to styles and formats
  • A less cluttered environment
  • Clear route finding for residents and visitors

As a first stage the project is delivering Borough and community entrance signs, which include
  • A symbol representing individual communities
  • A consistent and clear design of sign
  • Decorative mounting posts for the signs
