(
HTCUDF
)
The purpose of the Urban Design Framework is to set out design
principles for the development of Havant Town Centre. The framework
aims to create a long term vision for Havant Town Centre, develop
local plan policies and provide guidance in its development.
Developers' and Investors' Day
A Developers' and Investors' Day was held on the 17 May
2006 when major national and local developers were invited to look
at the opportunities put forward in the
HTCUDF
.
The day was extremely successful and generated a great deal of
interest in investing in the town.
Background to
HTCUDF
Consultation
Roger Evans Associates Limited (
REAL

the framework. This Draft Urban Design Framework was open for

During this period the document was available
for inspection at the Civic Offices and Havant Library and at
exhibitions in the foyer of the Civic Offices and in Havant
Library. There was also a touring exhibition around Havant
Town Centre. The staffed
HTCUDF
exhibition was on display in the Meridian Centre and West Street
and Market Parade on market days Havant.
Workshop
A workshop to identify key issues was held on
Friday 25 February, that included councillors, council
officers, consultants from Roger Evans
Associates (
REAL
) and various members
of the community representing local businesses, residents groups
etc.
The event brought people together to
discuss the issues they felt affected Havant Town Centre and that
