The council is required to involve the community in the preparation of local development documents and decisions on planning applications. The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how and when you can get involved in these processes.

A review of the SCI was carried out in 2011. Informal ‘pre-consultation’ on the structure of the document took place in September 2011, followed by the more formal ‘Regulation 26’ consultation in November 2011. Details of these, along with Council’s responses, can be viewed below.
