Public Realm Design Framework
The framework looks at our streets and open
spaces and shows possible improvements for important areas in the
borough. The Public Realm Design Framework (
PRDF
) establishes the
relationship between streets and squares, town centres and parks
and proposes common design details for key areas. It was
approved by the council's executive committee on 15 June 2005 and
is available for £5 from Civic Offices or follow the link below to
the pdf version (Acrobat Reader required)

The ideas are based on a study commissioned by
Havant Borough Council from consultants, Roger Evans Associates,
that identified different types of places, streets and spaces in
the borough. The study looked at both short-term improvements that
can be paid for from the council's £3m Liveability Fund Grant, and
medium and long-term changes that will make life better in the
borough. Click here to find out more about the Liveability
Project.
