Taking place in London in 2012, it represents a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for residents to be involved in, and witness first hand this truly momentous global occasion.
The Olympic Games start with an opening ceremony that takes place on 27 July and ends with a closing ceremony on 12 August.
In between there will be 17 days of competition with 26 different sports taking place across 34 venues.
There will be around 2 million tickets for the Paralympic Games which features 20 sports taking place over 11 days of competition in 21 venues. These Games open with a ceremony that takes place on 28 August and closes on 09 September.
Ticket sales for the Olympics have now closed but ticket sales for the Paralympics opens in September. For advanced notification register with the London 2012 website
