MEMBERS ALLOWANCES SCHEME
Part E - Telecommunications and Information Grant and PC
Provision
1.0 A Telecommunications and Information Grant of £371 pa is
payable as additional Basic Allowance in recognition of the amount
of money councillors spend on their telephone bills.
1.1 The Grant is paid automatically at the rate of £30.92 per
month.
1.2 The Council will supply a personal computer and printer on
receipt of a request from a councillor and on payment of a
contribution of £100. Councillors will be required to complete the
agreement shown below which is obtainable from Keith Hoare, ICT
Contracts Officer (Room 135).
1.3 The Council will make a monthly contribution of £7.50 to a
councillor who has a Broadband internet connection at their home
and uses it to download Council papers.
1.4 The Telecommunications and Information Grant and the
Broadband allowance shall be increased by the same percentage as
the Basic Allowance.
