Comment on Planning Proposals

Anyone can object to, support or comment on a planning application.

 

To do this you can either:

 

Fill out the on-line comment form 

(Please note that if you use email to make a Representation about an Application, please include your postal address.)

 

or

 

Write to:

The Planning Development

Public Service Plaza

Hampshire,

PO9 2AX

 

with the following information:

  • Your name*
  • Your address*
  • Your post code*
  • Your telephone number
  • Your email address
  • Planning application reference number (e.g. 11/12345/001)*
    [If you do not know the reference number please give as much information as you can such as the site address or the applicants name]
  • Why you think permission should or should not be given

 (* mandatory information)

 

You must send your comments as soon as possible as the Government have set a time limit for the receipt of comments to enable applications to be decided as quickly as possible. All representations will be acknowledged and you will receive a written reply with the outcome of the decision.

 

Under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any written comments that you submit will be made available for both inspection and copying. They will also be copied to the Planning Inspectorate in the event of an appeal. You should therefore only include information that you are happy to be seen by the public and available over the internet.

 

In the case of a householder application, in the event of an appeal that proceeds by way of the expedited procedure, any representations made about the application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations. 

 

No action can be taken on letters that are sent in confidence.
