Town Twinning
What are the Borough's twin towns?
There are links between the Borough and Landkreis Wesermarsch in
Germany, Waterlooville and Maurepas in France, Emsworth and St.
Aubin in France and Hayling Island and Gorron, Mayenne,
France.
Who can I contact for more information?
- Maurepas: Glynnis Simcox, 44 Queen's Road, Waterlooville, PO7

| WATERLOOVILLE AREA TWINNING ASSOCIATION (WATA) was
established with the objective of promoting within our community a
greater understanding of France, its customs, culture and language
through direct contact with a similar community in France.
Waterlooville is twinned with the French town of Maurepas which is
situated about 5 miles from Versailles, just south-west of Paris.
The Association encourages its members to form links with a family
in Maurepas, visiting each other on alternate years (staying with
partners). |
