Drop-In Group
Havant Borough Council's Disability Access Group also holds
Drop-In meetings on alternate Monday mornings from 10am until
12noon.
The Group looks at, discusses and makes recommendations
concerning recent planning applications, current relevant building
works and all other access matters within the Borough that are
subject to legislation under the terms of the Disability
Discrimination Act.
Disabled residents, family and carers attend also
representatives from local interest groups concerned with
disability matters. Officials from various departments of the
Borough Council frequently ask the Group for advice on works/policy
proposals.
The meetings are informal and friendly and refreshments are
served. They are hosted by the Equalities and Access Officer,
Caren Ransom and Transport Engineer, Tracey Ford.
