At the end of each financial year, we draw up a balance sheet that presents how much the Council’s land and buildings are worth, what is owed to others, what others owe us and how much cash we have. Below is a summary balance sheet:-

The non-cash reserves include  the Capital Adjustment Account, which reflects the capital resources set aside to meet past capital expenditure, revaluations of assets and the Pension Fund deficit.  The Pension Fund deficit will be made good when necessary through increased future pension contributions.
