Phase 1B
Havant Station car park link and cycle shelter
Phase 1B continues the dedicated route across
the South West Trains car park as far as the forecourt
entrance where a dedicated cycle parking facility is provided. The
work involved removal of parts of the old Hayling Billy 'bay'
platform to accommodate parking displaced by the new cycleway which
shares a widened access from North Street.
The completion of Phase 1B means there is now a
continuous marked and mostly off-road cycling route (using
Phase 1A and
Phase 1) between the station and
Langstone.
This section was opened in
November 2006.
