Route 41 Zip Quality Bus Partnership
Clanfield - Waterlooville - Portsmouth operated by
First
The route of service 41 was
developed by the phased implementation of the
South
Hampshire Rapid Transit bus priority scheme. Over a number of
years this has seen the introduction of bus lanes and other
priority measures, new bus stop infrastructure, real-time running
information and CCTV on the route from 'The George' on Portsdown,
through Waterlooville, to the southern end of Horndean.
A Quality Bus Partnership is now in place between First,
Havant Borough Council, Hampshire County Council and Portsmouth
City Council. Under the terms of the QBP, First has rebranded its
vehicles on the route which is now marketed as 'ZIP'. Buses run
every 15 minutes Mondays - Fridays, and every 20 minutes on
Saturdays and Sundays.
Details of the headline features of the Quality Bus
Partnership are shown below.
