What grass will the Council cut?

We cut the grass on all Council owned land, including:
  • Highway verges
  • Parks and open spaces
  • Beachlands
  • Town centres
  • Cemeteries
  • Allotments (main paths)
 

What grass won't the Council cut?

We do not cut grass that is privately owned.
 

How often do you cut the grass?

Grass cutting is carried out a set number of times per year according to need, financial constraints and weather/ground conditions. Our current cutting standards are as follows: parks etc., 16 times per year; highway verges 10 to 13 per year; low maintenance and conservation areas 1 to 6 per year.
