Below are listed a number of
transport options for visitors and the Visitor Information
Centre is happy to assist you with additional information,
public transport maps and individual timetables.
For comprehensive travel information
our
travel and transport page holds details of
getting around, to and from the Borough of Havant.
There are regular bus services from
Havant to Hayling, Emsworth, Portsmouth, Chichester and Brighton as
well as to other places of interest and it is possible to get to
most of our attractions and leisure facilities by bus.
See our 'buses' page for
more information.
By Train
There are regular services from Havant to Portsmouth, Southampton,
Chichester, Brighton, Petersfield, Rowlands Castle and other
popular destinations. Links to London Waterloo, London Victoria and
Gatwick Airport are also good and the travelling times are
surprisingly short.
See our
'trains' page for more information.
Places of interest are well signpost and maps are available
from the Visitor Information Centre to help you find your way
around.
Again the fact that the land is fairly flat makes it easier
for disabled people to get around and there have been many minor
improvements over the last few years. Wheelchair hire is available
from a number of sources and access to many of the local shops,
attractions and leisure facilities has improved in recent
years.
