The Safer Havant Partnership has launched a new interactive website, which features the latest news, information and advice on crime and safety issues for residents, businesses and visitors in the Havant Borough.

 

The Partnership is made up of a number of key organisations, who are all responsible for community safety in the Havant Borough.  These organisations are:Local resident at a Safer Havant Partnership event

  • Havant Borough Council 
  • Hampshire Constabulary
  • Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Hampshire Police Authority 
  • Hampshire Primary Care Trust
  • Hampshire Probation Area
  • Hampshire County Council

The Safer Havant Partnership is focusing on the following areas in the year ahead: 

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Violence, including domestic abuse
  • Alcohol

The Safer Havant Partnership website offers help and advice on a variety of important topics including the Partnership's new priorities, which are anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse and alcohol.  Features include up-to-date information on competitions and events for young people and opportunities for residents to get involved and make a real difference in their local area.

Visitors to the website are encouraged to share their concerns on community safety issues with the Partnership and to take part in an ongoing online poll, reflecting the current concerns in their local area.

Councillor Andy Lenaghan, Havant Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing, which includes Community Safety said: “The aim of the website is to provide up-to-date information on all of the Partnership and voluntary work that is taking place in the Havant Borough, and to invite residents, businesses and other groups to get involved.’
