The Euro Info Centre (EIC) provides business (particularly small and medium enterprises) with information and expert advice on the European Community, on matters such as: sources of EC funding; research and development programmes; tenders for EC public procurement, training opportunities, EC legislation; the Euro; international trading opportunities and partners. The Southern area covers Hampshire and parts of Wiltshire and Dorset.

 

The European Info Centre (EIC) also provides a free 'grant-finder' service for local businesses (in partnership with the Harbour Economic Development Forum).

 

Grantfinder is a telephone based service (023 8083 2866) for small businesses to identify a range of alternative financing sources.  The service aims to maximise awareness of potential funding sources and reduce barriers to the growth and development of smalll businesses.

 

Asistance is primarily targeted at creating jobs.  Some programmes are available nationwide and some are limited to a specific regional or local area.
