Reporting A Flood

In order that the Council, Sewerage Companies and the Environment Agency can organise their resources and prioritise efforts to reduce the effects of flooding, it is important to get a complete picture of what actually happens during flood events.

If you suffer flooding that affects the interior of your property then the Council, Southern Water and the Environment Agency need to know what happened and the dates that it occurred. Such reports of flooding should be made to us by using our online form to Customer Services, and by telephone to Southern Water (if the flooding is from sewer pipes, on 0845 278 0845) or the Environment Agency (if the flooding is from rivers, streams or the coast, on 08708 506 506).
