Hampshire County Council's Highways arranges for the
maintenance of more than 12,500 street lights and the design and
implementation of new lighting schemes. This is undertaken through
a Private Finance Initiative arrangement with SSE
Contracting.
Problems with street lights should be reported to the on-line
form or telephone the number above, quoting the lamp column number
(found on the column, about 2m above the ground). The phone contact
above is an automated voice system provided by Hampshire
County Council.
Straightforward faults are rectified within 6 working days of
being reported. However, repair times of more complicated faults
are dependent upon their nature.
